The Stone crab season is underway, and that means one thing for me, back to work! The start to the season, however has been a little slow. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with the oil spill (we actually made out remarkably well there, with no residual damage) but the weather has been too nice! Without a little wind, rain and choppy seas, the ground doesn’t get murky, and the crabs don’t venture out.
As part of our Project REV experience, we’ve been through public and media relations training, which came in handy when I reached out to the local TV stations on the start to the season. In fact, I had two interviews last week and another one coming up! It’s great to know that the media does in fact listen to small business owners. Have you had success in pitching your business’ story to the local press?
