Someone I greatly admire once shared with me, when you are on purpose doing what you are supposed to, the river will carry you down stream. My entire life as a filmmaker was a rollercoaster with highs and lows, it always felt like I was paddling up stream. Nothing came easy. I worked my tail off in every single film. I often thought, if there was anything else I was 1/10th as passionate about as I am about directing and telling stories on film, I would do it in a hot minute.
From the very inception of the idea that maybe I wanted to start a business telling stories, the river has literally carried me from one opportunity to another as if I had made a grocery list to the universe. I just had to know what to order. Started with Ladies Who Launch, which introduced me to Amy Swift Crosby who founded SMARTY-the most dynamic, diverse and connected network of entrepreneuring women on earth, which directly led to me learn about Project Rev contest, which introduced me to Mark Debosz SCORE which then led to my new mentor Tom Patty and who knows where that can lead.
This I know for sure, big things are in store–now I’m riding down stream baby, no more ores.
